With twenty-five years of service at Affinius Capital (formerly USAA Real Estate), Steven is responsible for new business development and execution in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. His mandate includes speculative and build-to-suit development, acquisitions, and debt placement for various Affinius investment vehicles.

As Managing Director of Investments, he is accountable for all phases of the development, acquisition and debt placement process including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, closing and business plan implementation. Over the past ten years, Steven has lead company efforts in executing office / media, industrial, retail, multifamily, hotel, and land development transactions totaling more than $7.5 billion in capitalization.

Steven also has an extensive background in the management and marketing of the Affinius Western Region portfolio in various locations such as Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Diego, Phoenix, and others. This experience affords the company and its partners a "hands on" perspective on property operations including leasing, tenant relations, construction, and expense management.

Prior to joining Affinius, Steven was Vice President at CB Richard Ellis / The Koll Company for eight years. His responsibilities included marketing and leasing activities at company owned and managed properties in the California region totaling more than four million square feet of Class A office space including Koll Center Newport, Koll Center Irvine, Koll Center Irvine North and portions of Hutton Center.

Steven is a graduate of the University of Southern California (MBA) and California State University at Fullerton. Steven served as President of NAIOP’s Southern California Chapter (third largest in the U.S.) in 2012 and 2013 and has served on the NAIOP Inland Empire Chapter’s Board for the past 10 years.
