With over 30 years of Homebuilding experience and P&L responsibilities in Georgia, Florida & Colorado markets; Scott’s passion is to create a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and inspire each employee to “Earn the Referral.”
Scott is currently Division President of Trumark Homes Colorado for Daiwa House Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. The Colorado division is headquartered in the Denver Tech Center and building new homes with inspiring Architecture in highly desirable Front Range communities.
As Division President of DR Horton Colorado for 11 years, Scott led the stablization of 4 merged divisions during the great recession of 2007-2011 and the subsequent growth phase from 2011-2018. Under his leadership, the division achieved #2 Homebuilder in Colorado for 9 consecutive years, ranked by Metro Study (Zonda) for largest % market share of closed homes.
In FY2018, the Team earned record metrics of $46.85m PTI, $440.96m Rev, 944 SFD closings, 6.7% SG&A. As a single operating division, the team constructed over 8,000 SFD homes in 32 communities from $300k - $2.7m in Northern Colorado, Denver and Colorado Springs MSA’s during 2007-2018. During the 2011-2018 growth phase, employee count grew from 64 to 124 with less than 4% annual turnover.
Scott graduated with two undergraduate degrees at Georgia Tech….ISYE and Civil Engineering. He discovered homebuilding as a career passion in 1989 after working directly with the founder of John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods.
