  • Mitigate Risk & Reduce the Number of Calls to Customer Service with HomeHub

SiteOne Announces Ability to Add Manufactured Product & Appliance Information with QR Codes

Danville, CA — June 21, 2022 — SiteOne Services, a customer service and home management platform, will be showcasing updates to their HomeHub at the PCBC 2022 Summer Showcase, June 22-23 in booth #1560 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. HomeHub is a password-protected home management portal for new homeowners that digitally organizes every feature and product installed in their home for easy reference. It includes home documents & manuals, builder warranty guides, a home inventory library, scheduled maintenance reminders, how-to videos, and warranty notifications. HomeHub helps mitigate risk by educating homeowners on caring for and maintaining their new home.

Add Products by Scanning QR Codes
The Home Inventory section of the HomeHub digitally organizes every manufactured product installed in the home (carpet, tile, appliances, windows, etc.) with model numbers, registration links, and user guides. SiteOne today announced that by the end of summer, builders will be able to add products to the home library by scanning QR codes.

"Manufacturers are now putting QR codes on everything from windows to refrigerators, and those codes link to valuable product information," said Mike Giosso, president and CTO of SiteOne Services. "Builders will soon be able to share all that information with their new homeowners with just a click."

SiteOne now makes it even easier for builders to select and add every product, appliance, and paint color used in each lot to the customer's HomeHub. The serial number and purchase date are all that is required by the homeowner for registration. Home Inventory fulfills the builder's responsibility to deliver manufacturer warranty and maintenance guidelines to homeowners at move-in. Maintenance reminders can also be automatically generated based on manufacturer recommendations.

The Home Documents section is a searchable digital library that includes homeowner manuals, project documents, signed sales agreements, customer service procedures, and acceptable standards. SiteOne can create custom manuals for every builder with their logo, brand, and images. Having all home documents kept in a centralized location is convenient for new homeowners and reduces waste.

Which would you rather go through if you had a question a stack of binders and pamphlets or a customized digital manual that is searchable and easy to read? SiteOne's manuals can be viewed by your homeowners via a private link or electronically through HomeHub. The magazine-like publications include performance standards & maintenance guidelines and meet all industry and SB800 requirements. And all the digital publications are fully searchable, so homeowners can find the information they need fast and reduce the number of calls to customer service.

Using SiteOne's Home Maintenance tools, builders can create lot-specific maintenance schedules, or they can turn on SiteOne's monthly homeowner alerts. Providing a maintenance checklist ensures that homeowners are meeting their maintenance responsibilities. When the homeowner receives a maintenance or warranty notification, they must confirm the task is complete, or they will continue to receive reminders.
