Who may receive complimentary press credentials?
Complimentary press credentials are given to reporters, editors, and freelance writers and photographers working for specific publications or broadcast media. See the eligibility requirements for more definition. Non-editorial staff (marketing, public relations, advertising, sales, publishing, etc.) should register through the normal attendee registration process.

How do I register?
Media registration will open Monday, February 22. Please visit here for eligibity and registration information

How will I know if my complimentary press registration is approved?
You will receive notification about your complimentary press registration within 72 hours after it is submitted. If you have any concerns about whether your registration was approved, please call Michael Castillo at (916) 325-9300 x346.

When will I receive my press credentials
You will need to come to the press room during office hours and provide a business card and photo ID to pick up your press credentials. Freelancers and media representatives without business cards must provide a letter, on their publication or broadcast outlet’s letterhead, from an editor or publisher certifying that the bearer is a legitimate member of the news media.

Is there parking available near the Moscone Center?
If possible, attendees are urged to walk or take public transportation as parking is limited and expensive. There are a number of parking lots nearby, click here for maps and information.

What events at PCBC are open to the media?
Most events and activities at PCBC are open to the media, although in some cases complimentary tickets are required (Tickets are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate your ticket requests while registering.) Following are some of the events that are open for coverage.

What's PCBC all about?
This year marks the 51th anniversary of PCBC, which was first held at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco in 1959. PCBC is the largest regional homebuilding industry trade show in the nation. This year, there will be three conferences held in conjunction with PCBC - the Executive Conference for top homebuilding leaders; the Multifamily Trends Conference, a "must-attend" event for builders and designers of for-sale and rental multifamily housing which this year is being produced in partnership with Marcus & Millichap, the nation's largest brokerage firm specializing in real estate investments; and the Capital Markets Forum. In addition, PCBC presents a stand-alone event, The Vine Conference, which focuses on the nature of community.

What does "PCBC" stand for?
PCBC has been known by different names in the past, including the Pacific Coast Builders Conference and the Western Building Show. Today, it's simply called PCBC.[return to question list]

When will PCBC® 2011 be held?
PCBC® 2011 is tentatively scheduled from June 22 - 24 at the Moscone Center.
